Grown from husk,
proven in greenhouses
since 1996.
Vegiland Coir Products manufactures and exports coco peat and coir fibre growing media — grow bags, bales, discs, briquettes and husk chips — guided by our own agronomists and shipped to growers in more than 20 countries.
A coco peat producer built by growers, for growers.
Vegiland Coir Products (Pvt) Ltd. is incorporated in Sri Lanka to manufacture and export coir-based growing media to the international market. Our team is guided by agronomists at BSR Agricom and Pan Agri Irrigation, and works to one mission: high-quality coir growing media, matched to each customer's exact requirements in quality and packing.
We started as a single briquette line in 1996 and shipped our first export order to Japan in 1997 — that buyer is still with us today. We now run the full production chain in-house: drying yards, milling, and every pressing format from grow bags to 25kg bales.
Three ranges, one raw material.

Husk
The fibrous cover of the coconut fruit is collected and dried in our open yards before milling.
Coir Fibre
Milling separates the long fibre from the pith — this fibre is graded into bristle and mattress fibre.
Coco Peat
The remaining pith is the coco peat by-product — sieved, aged and tested for pH and EC.
Pressed Product
Dust is compressed into grow bags, bales, discs and briquettes to each buyer's specification.
Certified to export standard.
Every batch is tracked from drying yard to container against our food-safety and quality management certifications.
